Hey - just a note to say I heard Soft Whitness this morning on WBER in Rochester while driving to my job. I was blown away by your work and for the first time, tracked album info down from the station. I'm an upright bass player (mostly bluegrass) who likes to dabble in darker alternative uses for the instrument... you will definitely be an inspiration. Keep it up - I just bought Pain Killer on iTunes and hope to see you play in Rochester some time.

Great show in Seattle!

And I love the CD, really great sound. While listening to you live, I was thinking of Jarboe, and maybe some of Jim Morrison's darker moments; but listening to the CD it was more PJ Harvey and Nick Cave.

Except it's not anybody else, of course. It's you! And you rock! And your cello is so, so beautiful. Wonderful.

I was there for a different band, but loved your performance! Despite the glory of dark crazy stuff, and I haven't even begun to delve into the lyrics yet, I hope your life is good. Thanks for doing what you do!

i was introduced to your music by bruce campbell here in rochester, i had brought my cello and preamp in to his shop for some technical tweaking and we got started on the topic of you...
first of all, i wanted to tell you how much i appreciate your music... bruce was kind enough to share with me the disc he recorded, and i'm wildly impressed how your vocal sound complements the cello timbre perfectly... it's very powerful....

secondly, i had some questions i was hoping you could answer in your spare time...
i am playing an amplified acoustic cello with a full rock band and am finding it very hard to keep up with their volume using my current pickup and amp... i wondered if you could give me insights on what you do playing live with your ensemble... for me, volume itself is not a problem, but avoiding feedback is...

also, i wanted to know if your private tutor is still operating in rochester, i am looking for private lessons, but it is very hard to find a cello teacher at all, much less one that comes with recommendations... if you could share with me their name and contact, i would be grateful...

Hey! I just saw ya'll, maybe about an hour ago, here in Memphis, TN at the Rally Point. You're totally amazing --- I ment to buy your CD but I went to the ATM across the street and I only had 21 dollars left -- could only extract increments of 20 and it was a 2.50 charge to withdraw...soo terribly, I left empty handed (and how much I regret that!)

I plan on buying your CD from your label --- I hope you come back to Memphis real, real soon!

I came across your music on myspace, and I just want to tell you, you're amazing.
